  This last year, I decided that I finally wanted to move forward to get the tattoo that I have wanted to get since my Grandfather passed away about 8 years ago. Because this was my first tattoo, I went in having a lot of questions, extremely high expectations, and was honestly anxious about what to expect. I had tried to work with other tattoo artists in the past but didn't feel like I had the best connection to get what I wanted. At Colt's, I worked with Maggie Gosselar, who was extremely professional. She worked with me to find a design that represented what I wanted in a form that would be timeless; I really didn't want a tattoo that would be similar to what other people would have or said to be trendy. This was a feat because I ended up getting a tattoo of a feather. Maggie spent time consulting me and drawing on me to find the perfect placement and design that worked for me. She listened to what I wanted and needed, took into consideration what this tattoo meant for me, and talked me through what I needed to know in order to not only take care of the tattoo but to keep me calm during the actual tattoo session. For a tattoo that has such an extreme amount of detail, Maggie worked quickly and finished with something that I never would have expected to be so great. I had extremely high expectations of what I wanted and Maggie blew me away with what she produced. I get stopped at least once a week to have people compliment the tattoo and ask for the artist. Maggie is in high-demand as an artist for a reason; she produces amazing artwork and cares about the art and people she is working with. I plan on working with her again in the future.
